This Thai Beef Stir-fry recipe could not be made any simpler for you. It’s been stripped down to the bare essentials (don’t worry – it’s still decent) and all the necessary tastes are there. You’re free to adapt it by adding peppers, onion, broccoli, or any other veg you require. Alternatively, just take it as it is. Enjoy!
2 tbsp vegetable oil
strips, or steak cut into thin strips
1 red chilli, deseeded and finely sliced
2 tbsp oyster sauce
handful of basil leaves
1. Heat a wok or large frying pan until smoking hot.
2. Pour in the oil and swirl around the pan, then tip in the beef strips and chilli.
3. Cook, stirring all the time, until the meat is lightly browned, about 3 mins, then pour over the oyster sauce.
4. Cook until heated through and the sauce coats the meat. stir in the basil leaves and serve with plain rice.
